The owner and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey had a good time exploring the continent to meet especially with entrepreneurs who are making good use of technology in their various business ventures.
During his recent one month trip to Africa, he visited countries like Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Ethiopia. Observing the trend of happenings on the continent, the tech giant made a confession that, Africa will define the future. He equally declared an interest in relocating to the continent in the year 2020.
Aside this declaration, he also added in a tweet that, the continent is a fertile ground for the trading of the popular digital currency, Bitcoin. Read his tweet below:
“Sad to be leaving the continent… for now,” Dorsey tweeted. “Africa will define the future (especially the bitcoin one!). Not sure where yet, but I’ll be living here for 3-6 months mid-2020. Grateful I was able to experience a small part.”
His claims may not be far fetched as the continent seem to be the favorite destination for tech giants. In recent times, Africa has been visited by Jack MA, former Alibaba chairman, Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg and many others.
