Akon has revealed plans to embark on a tour around African countries starting in Ghana. The American born Senegalese origin singer, had earlier this year given a hint of his plan to tour Africa and other parts of the world including Latin America during his interview with Ebro in the morning radio host Ebro, the 46-year-old has now confirmed he will be doing the effect of the round from March 2020 during an interview with Joy News’ Becky revealed.
The Convict music and Akoin owner wants to use the tour to project Africa and highlighting business opportunities in Africa to the rest of the world, he also aims to use the tour to promote his upcoming album.
“Were putting together a tour all over Africa starting off with Ghana, I will be announcing the dates very soon but our aim is to start off in March 2020, the whole idea is to bring the music in, expose it more than we have already and keep reiterating that Africa is very talented and we have a business here that should be expanded and showcase all the opportunities here in Africa.”
Akon has been working on so many projects for Africa since his retirement from active music production and singing. He has managed to establish in some African countries solar energy power with the help of loans from Chinese companies.
