A Nigerian woman, Dr. Tolulola Bayode has been widely celebrated for building a state-of-the-art home for orphans in Ondo state-Nigeria as a way of giving back to society. The project has gone viral since its release on the internet.
Nigeria’s vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who was in attendance for the unveiling of the newly built facility named ‘Dorian Homes for orphans’ hailed Dr. Bayode for the impactful effort.
The VP, described the gesture as one which is beyond a call of compassion and philanthropy. He went further to state that her gesture has revealed something deeper about the donor and it was worthy of praise.
Apart from this viral project, Dr. Tolulola Bayode’s immense contribution to child and women development was also recognized duly.
Last year, she was appointed by the African Union as the Deputy head, Social Affairs and Health Cluster Committee. Her appointment was for her to function under the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC). The appointment was to acknowledge as well as implement the goals and targets of humanitarian affairs all over Africa in order to ensure social development.
